Lena Stamm was born in 1981 in Bamberg, Germany. She studied acting at the Film University Konrad Wolf Babelsberg in Potsdam. Since then she has won several awards for her stage acting, and has made numerous TV and film appearances.

Lena also works on the other side of the camera. While living in Stockholm she developed the feature film Dom Outtryckta The Unexpressed (2022). During the pandemic of 2020, Lena collaborated with Janin Stenzel to write and direct the short film Easy Said Up High, which has won two awards and has been screening at 38 festivals so far.

Lena’s work explores her preoccupations with family, relationships and trauma, as well as their societal effects; these personal interests led her to found elbee films. elbee films takes diversity, tolerance and acceptance as its fundamental values: making art that includes everyone.
